Decolonizing Methodologies by Linda Tuhiwai Smith was studied along with articles by peers who used Decolonizing Methodologies as a framework to restructure their lab and fieldwork methodologies. The theoretical framework given in Decolonizing Methodologies and the successful approaches of peers was applied to the UVSC Herbarium housed at Utah Valley University and to the fieldwork methodologies of the researchers based there.
