From the backbone to diversification: unraveling the evolutionary history of Ericales Smith, Stephen [1], Chanderbali, Andre [2], Goncalves, Deise [3], Soltis, Douglas [4], Soltis, Pamela [5], Fritsch, Peter [6], Dick, Christopher [7]. An examination of the broad scale evolution of the Ericales using targeted capture, transcriptomics, and publicly available data. Using target capture sequencing combined with transcriptomic data and publicly available sequence data, we construct several large phylogenies of the Ericales. With these phylogenies we examine the broad scale evolution of the clade including analyses of life history and climate tolerance. Through these analyses we hope to provide a framework for future Ericales studies.
