Introducing a new Flora of Nevada, with results from a floristic inventory of the Clover Mountains.

Nevada has long lacked a field-usable technical resource for identifying plants across the state. This reality first came into stark focus throughout a floristic inventory of a poorly known area of the state on the borders of the Mojave, Great Basin, and Colorado Plateau: the Clover Mountains. I first summarize current results of this inventory, which is beginning to coalesce into a final checklist, and which has turned up dozens of surprising new occurrence records. I then report on the development of a new field-usable resource towards species identification across Nevada, which is ca. 75% complete. Numerous contributors are involved in this new Flora of Nevada, and I will solicit a few remaining treatments of taxa that are notoriously cryptic and difficult to distinguish, traditionally. Many new mountain range records have also been uncovered over the course of a plethora of field expeditions made while preparing the manuscript, and will be briefly touched upon.
