We are excited to announce that Botany 2022 will be a hybrid conference with opportunities to present in person in Anchorage, Alaska, or Virtually! If you choose to attend virtually you can participate in certain live-streamed events with chats during the week the conference is happening in Anchorage. In the weeks following the conference ALL the recorded content will be archived and available to view and review. It’s all yours whether you join us virtually or in person!
Plan your Botany 2022 with the conference schedule, which is now available! Look up your presentation to see when and where it will take place (this can be found at the very bottom of your abstract details page) and take a look at all of the abstracts for this year's conference. Please double-check to see that your presentation appears the way you submitted it including if you indicated virtual or in-person. The schedule builder will be available when the Pathable Platform is released. Please note that the times and dates of specific presentations may still change.
Need Help: New resources have been added to the conference website to help with presentation skills and recording your presentation. Click here for more information.
Coming in person or just joining virtually - Here is one way to experience Anchorage!
Virtually Explore Anchorage - the Scenery, some Facts, and Trivia!
We invite you to join us in this virtual race across Anchorage, Alaska, and Beyond. Starting at the Ted Stevens International Airport takes 130 miles around Anchorage - taking in the sites! The cost is $15.00 (USD) and will support activities at the conference
Make your fitness miles count! The race is partially sponsored by Visit Anchorage and will benefit activities at Botany 2022. In addition, for every milestone you reach - a tree (or two) will be planted to honor your accomplishments, by the non-profit Trees, Water, People.
Connect your favorite fitness app to the platform or manually enter your progress. Each time you complete a distance-based activity you will advance along the map. Activities include: steps, running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing, elliptical, skiing, wheelchair, or you can select "Other".
As you reach certain milestones you will receive an email postcard and a bit of information about what you just saw or what is up ahead. When you finish the race you will receive a beautiful certificate of completion, the satisfaction of helping the Earth by having 10 more trees planted, and, if you are in Anchorage this summer, a commemorative key chain!
